FAITH TO MOVE MOUNTAINS
A few months ago, Fr. Mike spoke at all the
Masses to announce our parish’s participation in
the diocesan capital campaign, Faith to Move
Mountains. The time table for the campaign is
being shifted back so that the heart of the
campaign will be completed in the spring when
many of our ‘snow birds’ are back home. So,
the initial outreach to the first wave of
parishioners will begin in January and will
culminate with an in-pew pledge drive around
April.

PARISH COMMUNITIES
ROSARY ALTAR SOCIETY
NEEDS YOU
The St. Mary of the Lake Rosary Altar Society
would like to invite you to join us on the 2nd
Thursdays of the month (from March to
December) in Guild Hall. We pray the rosary at
7 PM and enjoy light refreshment while we have
our meeting. We promote the recitation of the
rosary and care for the sanctuary and linens
used at Mass. We are in need of persons with
this special devotion. We have 2-person teams
and schedule them once every 5 to 6 weeks. It is
an opportunity to spend quiet time at St. Mary’s
in simple tasks. Please pray on this request and
hopefully you’ll join us. If attending meetings is
not always possible, we would still be pleased
to have your help with the altar and linens. If
interested, please leave your name with the
parish office at 732-363-0139 or call June at

REDISCOVER THE LOVE
IN YOUR MARRIAGE!
Do you feel lost, alone or bored in your
marriage? Are you frustrated, hurt or angry with
your spouse? Are you constantly fighting or do
you simply shut down? Have you thought about
separation or divorce? Does talking only make
it worse? Retrouvaille may be the lifeline that
you need! It is not just a social gathering or
series of seminars, but rather a way to
rediscover and rekindle the loving relationship
in your marriage. Retrouvaille is a peer ministry
of volunteer couples tha can help you learn the
tools of health communication, build intimacy
and heal, just as they have done for their own
marriages. Retrouvaille is Christian-based and
Catholic in origin.

Tens of thousands of couples have successfully
saved their marriages by attending a
Retrouvaille weekend and the six post session
that follow it. The next program begins on the
weekend of February 10 at the Family Life
Center in Malvern, PA. Additional weekends
will be held in April and August. For more

PARISH JOURNAL
FAITH IN OUR FUTURE FINAL PLAN
Fr. Mike spoke at all the Masses last weekend
to inform the parish of Bishop O’Connell’s final
plan for the status of St. Mary of the Lake
Parish. In his plan, St. Mary’s will be eventually
merging with St. Anthony’s to create one
Roman Catholic Parish in Lakewood. This
newly merged parish will provide ministry for
three language groups: English, Polish, and
Spanish. The new parish will continue to use
and own all the properties that the two current
parishes use and own: St. Mary Church and
rectory; Holy Family Chapel and School; St.
Anthony Church and rectory; and, St. Mary
Cemetery. The timeline for merger is:
July 2019: The two parishes are “linked.”
Linked parishes remain two distinct
parishes, but, they share the same pastor.
July 2020: The two parishes are merged into
a newly formed parish.
Up until those target dates, the two parishes will
share the use of facilities, which is already the
case and practice.
A 20 minute video from Bishop O’Connell
explaining the overall process of Faith in our
Future along with the letter which lists the
status of all the parishes in the diocese can be
found at www.trentonmonitor.com under the
heading, Bishop David M. O'Connell's pastoral
letter on our future together (click on “More…”
for the full article).

become members of the Catholic Church
Baptized in another Christian Church... Those members from a different Christian
community other than Catholic who are
seeking full initiation in the Catholic Church
Baptized but no previous Religious
Education... persons who were baptized as
babies in the Catholic Church but have not
had any Religious Education within the
Catholic Tradition. Have you received all of
your sacraments of First Communion and
Confirmation?

Autentyczny
dać rozmyć, by nie zwietrzeć, by nasycać się Jezusem, wypracowując w sobie wiele sprawności.
