can’t attend Mass, please make certain you try

to unite yourselves with your fellow Christians in

prayer at least on a Sunday. Many parishes

Day of Prayer, Fasting and Works of Charity

for the end of the Pandemic, this Thursday

(14th). The Holy Father and leaders of all faiths

are requesting us to join in prayer, fasting and

charitable works. Exposition of the Blessed

Sacrament from 10.00-11.00, for a time of

livestreamed prayer, if you have any particular

intentions please let me know.

A Spiritual Communion Prayer Lord Jesus Christ, before instituting the Holy Eucharist you told your disciples that you longed to celebrate the Passover meal with them. I also long to gather around your altar with your Holy People, to listen to your Holy Word, together with them to offer you prayer and praise, and in union with them and the priest to offer your Holy Sacrifice to your Father and ours. Above all I desire to be able once more to receive your true Body and Blood in Holy Communion, which unites me to you and to the whole Church. Look upon my longing, which is itself your gift, and come into my heart spiritually to give me the same graces as I would hope to receive from you sacramentally in Holy Communion. May your Grace touch and transform my heart and soul and so draw me closer to you and to all the baptised in the unity of your Mystical Body, your Church in Heaven and upon Earth. You who live and reign with the Father in the unity of the Holy Spirit, now and forever. Amen
