PASTOR’S VIEWPOINT

The vantage point for this week’s musing is from the music coordinator’s office. Action is on and active for the painting and carpeting in the other offices. The main office and pastor’s are vacant and in need of new life. The return move is expected early this coming week. The expectation is now to take the gift of time to clean up, to discard and get rid of useless or outdated material accumulated over the years. The whole experience is a bit of a parable reminding how important it is to revisit our interior and spiritual lives. There is a possibility to find quite a few remnants of some life experience that not only need to be revisited, but need to be led to some adjustment, or even to discard obsolete ideas of all kinds, to meet a new expression of God’s will for us. If we believe that Christ is risen and within and among all of us, we may be sure that, as God’s living Word, He speaks and creates anew as He is being true to self. God is also love. Love has no end. No wonder we have to keep on revisiting and constantly adjust when it comes to relationships. I have gratitude in my heart and I cannot pinpoint why. Maybe that is part of aging. Maybe there are too many amazing things, persons, events and a mixture of changes that seem to be for the better, sweeping down on and in who I am, and the experience is just plain and unnoticeable to the naked eye. Even the experience of death has a new life hidden and ready to reach the light and love available in abundance for all who accept to help themselves with the idea to share with others. God is everywhere. That means we can eventually grow into a conscious contact with God. Some manage to be aware quite constantly of the presence of Christ, and or Saints. This is not my experience at this time in my life, yet something great is somehow part of my days. For some of you the Fathers Day weekend might be the key that brings back memories and leads you to a conscious contact with the Father of us all. He created us in His image, loves us so much that He shares the power to participate in His creation and the greatest gift might be the ability to pass on His love to others.

When you love somebody very much, you want to

know everything about them. Meditate on this:

Do you feel a hunger to know Christ?

Because that is the measure of your love for Him.
