St. Brigid’s Happenings

RECYCLED TEENS will gather for 9:00 am Mass on

Thursday, September 20th. A short meeting will follow

with guest speaker Gerry Diskin.

COFFEE HOUR is next Sunday, September 23rd

following the 4:00pm Mass. Stop by to catch up with

friends and have coffee and refreshments!

THE LADIES OF CHARITY: The Ladies of Charity

of Buffalo will hold their Annual Fall Fashion Show on

Saturday, September 29th. Along with this fundraiser is

a basket raffle. Our Family Movie Night Basket was so

popular the last time that we would like to do this again.

We hope to get enough donations for possible fill two

baskets! Donations can be left at the back of church

through September 16th. Proceeds support the Ladies of

Charity thrift store on Broadway in Buffalo where needy

families can purchase clothing and small household

items. If you are interested in attending this function,

contact Jan Bausch at 585-315-2717.

HOLY NAME SOCIETY ANNUAL

GOLF OUTING is Sunday, September 30th

at 11:00am at the Churchville Golf Course.

Please join members of the Holy Name for 9

holes of relaxing golf. There is a good mix of

fathers and sons and we encourage all men of

the parish to join us. The format is a four man scramble

that has an adjusted score by using a Calloway scoring

method. This encourages all golfers at ALL skill

levels. Door prizes for all and cold drinks. A sign-up

sheet will be at the back of the church or contact Jim

THE HOLY ROSARY is recited a half hour before each

weekend Mass. Saturday Rosary begins at 3:30pm.

Sunday Rosary is recited at 8:30am. Please join your

fellow parishioners in praying the Rosary.

The Knights of Columbus, Edward Pow-

ers Council #2936 will meet Thursday,

September 20 at 7:30pm at the K of C

hall. All members are asked to attend our

regular council meeting. This is a one-

time change of our normal meeting on

the third Tuesday of the month. Anyone

who wishes to know more about the Knights of Columbus

GriefShare at St. Brigid's Par-

ish Center continues this

week with Session 2,

"Challenges of Grief” on

Wednesdays at noon ( free to bring your own brown bag

lunch) and again at 6:30pm. Both sessions offer the same

content. You do not have to be pre-registered to attend nor

do you need to have attended the first session in order to

be provided. Please consider bringing a side dish or des-

sert. Suggestions for sides: corn bread, sandwich rolls,

coleslaw, baked beans, potato salad, macaroni salad. Des-

sert suggestions: brownies, cookies, cupcakes, etc. If possi-

ble we would appreciate these dishes be dropped off at

11:00am to the parish center.
