    Dear Family,

What might it be like to see God? What would we feel if we saw Him face to face and in all of His glory? James,

John, and Peter had such an experience on Mt. Tabor which was equally glorious as it was overwhelming and

scary. Just like the Apostles who received this confirmation of Jesus’ true nature and presence, we go on with our

lives (even our faith lives) forgetting what has already happened. When we participate in the Mass, we too are

taken up a mountain, Calvary, where Jesus reveals His true nature and assured us, “I am with you always, even

until the end of the age.” He opens wide the innermost thoughts and love of His heart so we, hear, and taste His

renewing power. The truth is, our perception can change based on any number of factors and life’s circumstances,

but that doesn’t make the reality of Christ’s revelation on the altar any less true, meaningful, or transformative.

Coming down from that mountain on every Sabbath, let’s remember what we saw and call that to mind when we

need courage to live out our faith.

For the next two weekends we will have guest presiders at Mass as I will be away preaching missions and living

out that particular aspect of my vocation, please pray many are brought back to Christ through my efforts and

God’s grace. Our presider March 21

    “Called to Communion”

For many of us the Sacraments are rites of passage in our families and com-

munities. But did you know that these sacred moments are so much more?

If we learn more about the Sacraments we see how meaningful they are, we

understand the intention behind each symbol, word, and gesture. But if we

immerse our mind and heart into them, then we encounter the living God

and leave healed, strengthened, and wholly transformed! Come join us as

we journey together this Lent in rediscovering the Sacraments and their

effects on our relationships and overall lives. God is calling you to a deeper

communion, will you answer the call?
