The Belgian Scrap Terminal Group stands for high-quality metal recycling. We are a Belgian family company in heart and soul, with activities at multiple strategic, waterfront locations in Western Europe.
Waste is not the end of the line for us, but a starting point. The beginning of a new life in an infinite cycle. From discarded appliances to industrial scrap, we succeed in recovering virtually 100% of the materials.

Individual expertise,collective strengthOur group consists of specialised and highly complementary companies that deploy state-of-the-art recycling technologies to reclaim discarded materials. This expertise enables us to offer a broad range of recycling services tailored to our customers. We supply a minimum of 1.5 million tonnes of ferrous and non-ferrous metals to the global market, year after year.

Our heart is green
We protect the quality of water, soil and air like a responsible housekeeper. That is why we continuously invest in sustainable recycling and environmental technologies. Nothing delivered to our sites escapes the scruting of our radioactivity counters. We also purify the rainwater at all our sites.
We are not just a good housekeeper, but also a good neighbour. We keep our yards swept and use a fine water spray to ensure fine dust cannot spread. We also keep the emissions of our machines under control. Equipped with the latest innovations, they perform well within the emission standards.
Moreover, we deliberately choose water transport, because it has the smallest ecological footprint. Barges, coasters and even bulk carriers up to 55,000 tonnes are welcome visitors to our quays.

Our strategic locations, for instance in the port of Antwerp, enable us to receive and process large shipments of scrap from all over Europe. Enormous, ultramodern processing machines (shredders, shears and presses) separate steel from non-ferrous metals.
But it doesn’t end there. Thanks to advanced flotation technologies we give high-grade remnants a second life. Glass, rubber and plastics get a new chance as secondary feedstock or combustible fraction as well.
The Belgian Scrap Terminal Group also actively scours the market, buying manufacturing scraps and various materials. After careful analysis, we process them to realise an end result with maximum purity. This is how new raw materials are created, which we supply tailored to our buyers’ requirements.

Inspired by the notion of a circular economy, we continuously invest in innovation. This allows more and more materials to be recycled and processed for re-use.
