Friday the 13thWe like the idea of the antagonist being

the main focal point of the poster,which has been done here through thecentral positioning and key light in thebackground of the poster whichoutlining antagonist. This combined

with the low angle shot on theantagonist makes him appearpowerful, which is a representation weintend to include in our poster.

The isolated setting of the dark woods isconventional, and we too hope to usean isolated setting to induce fear inthe viewer the same as this does. The

use of mist and the mask gives theimpression of distortion, andunclearness. This causes enigma,making the identity of the antagonistunknown, which we would like to showin our poster, to make the viewer wantto know more.

The conventional layout of theposter is something we willinclude in our poster to appear

professional.This poster in particular has a

clear colour scheme of smallamounts of white, largeamounts of black anddarkness, and red. The use ofdarkness represents dark andevil, and the horror genre. Thered of the poster symbolisesblood and danger, allconventional elements of the

horror genre. We intend to usea similar colour scheme tothis, to represent the horrorgenre clearly to the viewer.

Album cover: Bullet for my valentineThe Poison

This particular album cover was asource of inspiration and is apotential possibility for our filmposter. The shadow createdwithin the doorway over ahelpless victim is a conventionalfeature within the horror genreand is an aspect found withinhorror films of a variety of eras.This album cover could easily berecreated into a film poster fromusing our own images usingshadows and editing them further

in photoshop. The colour schemeused (i.e. black and red) alsoconnotes ideas such as anger,death, passion, fear etc.

HalloweenThis poster also includes the

antagonist central and in mainfocus, similar to Friday the 13thfilm poster. The image of theantagonist is also dark, and

unclear, which arousesenigma in the viewer, andappears mysterious, an ideathat we intend to use in ourfilm poster.

The inclusion of a tag line at the

top of the page is alsoconventional and eye-catching, and is something wewish to include in our filmposter.
