Our Appointment 3Sixty were appointed as a Project Manager working in the capacity of a Design Manager in the pre-contract stage and as a Project Manager/Client’s Representative during the post contract construction, testing-commissioning and handover stages. This involved extensive coordination with the Main Contractor and all the stakeholders, including the Client’s local partner/operator UEMS of Abu Dhabi. The Benefit 3SixtyConsult’s contribution was design and project management expertise backed with extensive understanding of state of art Healthcare Projects. 3Sixty was instrumental in steering this project with in-depth knowledge of regional specifications & authority regulations and performing the role of a key facilitator and advisor to an International Client. The Client Moorfields Eye Hospital: Is a specialist NHS eye hospital in London, England run by Moorfields Eye Hospital NHS Foundation Trust. Together with the UCL Institute of Ophthalmology, which is adjacent to the hospital, it is the oldest and largest center for ophthalmic treatment, teaching and research in Europe. Moorfields Eye Hospital was founded on the Moorfields in 1805 as the London Dispensary for curing diseases of the Eye and Ear, by John Cunningham Saunders, assisted by John Richard Farre. Moorfields Eye Hospital is a major center for postgraduate training of ophthalmologists, orthoptists, optometrists, and nurses. It has also played a pivotal role in ophthalmic research. The Project After their very successful venture as Moorfields Eye Hospital in Dubai Healthcare City, Moorfields Eye Hospital London’s newest expansion project was conceptualized in Abu Dhabi with a view to provide International Ophthalmology Care services to the clientele of that region. The project was designed as a refurbishment of two semi-detached villas in an upscale residential neighborhood of Abu Dhabi Marina District, where many such boutique healthcare developments have set-up base.
