10 THE KENNETH STEWART CRONIN LECTURE FUND The Kenneth Stewart Cronin Lecture Fund was established in 2006 by Thomas C. Cronin in honor and memory of his father, Kenneth Stewart Cronin. The Fund provides the financial support for the Oklahoma Geological Foundation’s Lecture Series, as well as events produced by the Oklahoma City Geological Society. The function the Lecture Series is to disseminate timely geologic information on current exploration plays and topics of high common interest within the geosciences by hosting distinguished lecturers with national and international acclaim at the Oklahoma City Geological Society functions, the Foundation’s Awards Banquet and the Legends’ Dinner. In 2010, the Fund began supporting an annual geoscience workshop. The Lecture Series is fittingly named after Mr. Cronin, whose early career came under the influence and tutelage of the legendary oil finders Ira Cram and Theron Warsson. Mr. Cronin explored domestically, as well as internationally, and he and his teams were credited with a number of exploration successes, including West Poison Spider in Wyoming, Adena in Colorado, and Lisbon in Utah. Speakers for the Lecture Series Events have included: ~ David Curtiss, from AAPG’s Geo D.C. Office Washington, D.C.; ~ Dr. Donald L. Gautier, USGS, in Menlo Park, CA; ~ Dr. G. Randy Keller, OGS Director and State OK Geologist, Professor of Geophysics and McCol- lough Chair, University of Oklahoma; ~ Dwight “Clint” Moore, Vice President, Corporate Development, ION Geophysical, Houston, TX; ~ Dr. Philip H. “Pete” Stark, Vice President of Industry Relations, IHS, Inc., Denver, CO; ~ Glen E. The Kenneth Stewart Cronin Lecture Fund was established in 2006 by Thomas C.
