• Hosted Quarterly Economic Development Roundtable

• Discussed Business Retention and Expansion Zones & Opportunity Zones

• Held Q&A Session to respond to business concerns and issues

• Hosted first Facebook Live interviews before and after event, increasing online engagement 160 percent

July-August Highlights

•Farmers Market free produce vouchers were provided to seniors to encourage healthy eating.

•3,100+ Facebook followers watched a live video about the vendors at the La Plata Farmers Market. It received 79 reactions and was shared nearly 30 times, reaching 8,600 users.

• Equipped all county-owned buildings with Automated External Defibrillator units that include “Stop the Bleed” and “Opioid Overdose Kits”

• Produced EMS training video featuring interviews with recovered opioid addicts who shared their stories

• WUSA9 broadcast two segments with Charles County EMS first responders and residents affected by opioid crisis
