Documentation Example: Financial Management
A client with a diagnosis of Parkinson diseases is seen for 35 minutes. As a retired accountant, he
emphasizes the importance of being able to manage his finances independently. He uses his budgeting
tools along with the equipment provided in the intervention kit. The therapist facilitates fine motor skillsand divided attending skills; assesses the quality of postural stability and balance as the client sits in thechair engaging in the task; providing verbal cues and assistance in calculations as needed; promotes
positive self-statements and controlled movements while trying to reduce the impact of tremors or
spasticity on the assorted tasks; and helps to recommend different organizing and scheduling techniquesto make sure payments are completed on time.
