This major event brings together the biggest names in Hollywood so there is no settling on your outfit decision. What you wear to the Oscars is a reflection on who you are and the whole world is watching. This year there were many impressive contenders, but these are the designs that stood out above the rest. Cate Blanchett’s seafoam colored dress perfectly complemented her hair color and light skin complexion. The original design by Armani Privé had volume on the shoulders and played with texture making it even more captivating. Dior is typically Jennifer Lawrence’s designer of choice, but this gown was exceptional and flattering for her. The lace working with the nude and black colors in the dress gave Jennifer the most sensual and sexy red carpet look of the night. An Oscar statue was adapted into gown form by designer Tom Ford for actress Margot Robbie. The plunging neckline is perfectly executed and appropriate for this event. Sequins have also been all over the red carpet this season, but Margot’s dress was especially show-stopping. These Hollywood golden girls dominated the red carpet for this year’s Academy Awards by rocking gowns that were aesthetically pleasing as well as suited for each of their individual personalities. There is a wide range among these looks in color as well as texture that separated from the rest of the attendees.
