Image One

Main focus of shot – We picked this image because it represents the character as being charming and funny.

The background lighting helps create a romantic environment.

Candles: Signifies romantic scene.

Bottle of Wine: The bottle is placed between the two characters which instantly depicts the romantic scene.

The fruits represent the freshness of the relationship and how the relationship could either grow to be sweet or sour.

Suit represents Oscar as charming and stylish character.

Image Two

This shot is more focused on both characters.

Girl facial expressions show her interest in Oscar and how successful the dinner is going.

Oscar’s facial expressions represent his confidence and charm. If this is compared to the other character it depicts Oscar is succesfully charming the girl.

One flaw of this image is that its too dark. When we film we need to use more lighting.

Image Three Wine bottle is juxtaposition of both characters and separates them

Facial expression represents her disgust at a comment made by Oscar.

Oscar’s expression depicts that he thinks he has made a smart ‘funny’ comment. But through the girls facial expressions its clear he has annoyed the girl.

The binary opposition of facial expression creates comical effect and makes this frame integral in this scene.

Image four

Facial expression emphasises shock and despair.

Single shot inflates the expressions (however, we feel a single shot from this angle may look too unconventional. )

For the filming we will erase this background as it effects and damages the environment and atmosphere we are trying to create.

Image Five

Facial expression represents confusion and innocence.

Depicts character’s anger. The spilling water over the head of Oscar is a juxtaposition of Oscar’s relationship with women. We intend to play on the saying ‘the glass is empty or half full’ we want to emphasise the effect that glass is empty which signifies he is out of luck.

The stances of both characters create a binary opposition. As Oscar’s hand is out representing confusion and a apologetic stance. While Lucy is standing over Oscar which shows her power over him.

Photo Six

This shot is instantly straight after image five.

The water being thrown over optimises the anger of the other character.

This shot shows more seriousness and more fear in Oscar’s expressions.

The maintenance of the authority the other character has over Oscar.

Photo Seven

The hands opened stance represents the lack of luck ( and how bad) Oscar is with women.

Facial expressions represent his despair but also highlights his character of being enthusiastic and positive which means he smiles the mistake off.

One thing which we intend to change in a minor way is the smile. We need the actor to smile in frustration .

The image is also incredibly blurry. For the main filming we need to make sure the same problem doesn't happen again. If we allow it to happen it will ruin the consistency of the teaser trailer.
