CASA ISEAMI Breathtakingly spectacular views characterize this private and secluded home that sits atop its own mountain and sprawling 74-hect- are private reserve. The house is located at the gateway to the Corcovado National Park on the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica, described by National Geographic as one of “the most geographically intense places on the planet”. Visitors will be enchanted by its 360 degree panoramic view of Carate Beach, a sweet water lagoon, the Pacific Ocean and pristine rain forest. Casa Iseami, a LEED designed home, has won numerous awards for sustainability and design. The house is 100% self sustainable and generates its own power from solar panels and a Pelton wheel turbine, allowing for a comfortable but limited supply of energy. The two story, three bedroom, three bath house has two king beds upstairs and one queen bed downstairs. It can comfortably sleep three couples, and arrangements can be made to accommodate children in bunk beds. The kitchen is equipped with a four burner gas stove, oven, refrigerator and dishwasher. The living room is spaciously designed with ample seating, cable TV, and a DVD player. The beautiful upstairs wrap-around balcony has a dining room table that seats 12. Downstairs is a deck outfitted with chaise lounges, massage table, hammock, and a dining table overlooking the pool. The versatile first floor area can be used for relaxation such as yoga, meditation, and massage or for entertainment (including a ping pong table). Daily maid service is included as well as transportation to and from the local airport in Puerto Jimenez (45 minutes away) or to the close-by private airstrip locate in Carate (two minutes away). Grocery shopping can be provided upon request, and internet is avail- able only two minutes away at the iSeami Lodge. Kayaking and hiking on the reserve are free of charge, and we can arrange guided hikes upon request. Corcovado National Park is a treasure amongst the country’s extensive National Parks system, featuring over 10% of the planet’s biodiversity. Bird watchers and na- ture enthusiasts will be enchanted by the abundance of birds, monkeys, and wildlife found throughout the reserve. Half an hour away is Matapalo Beach with world class surfing and spectacular views. Boats can be chartered at Golfo Dulce (45 minutes away) to enjoy a day of deep sea fishing on the country’s beautiful Pacific Coast.
