Logan City Council security officers have access to approximately 300 cameras across the city, stationed in malls, train stations, bus stops, parks and other thoroughfares. All this will be managed through the latest version of Teleste S-VMX, a security system used in cities including Paris and Stockholm. The Teleste Solution consisted of the following key elements: Teleste S-VMX System Teleste Video Wall Servers providing real time monitoring to 20 monitors The system allows for drag and drop television channels onto video wall monitors Teleste MCC201 encoders which were used for drag and drop corporate computers onto the video wall Teleste Stream Reflector allowed for the CCTV images to be streamed to external mobile devices Integration or 300 + cameras Operator functionality that included GIS mapping features, with multiple operator logins with hierarchy control. The existing analogue cameras are fed through Teleste video encoders fully integrated in S-VMX platform. The current system is noted as stage 1 one of the works, the next stages will result in federating remote sites and mobile CCTV systems for rapid deployment. Already, some footage from Logan city cameras can be beamed directly to officers at the Beenleigh, Browns Plains and Logan Central police stations. Improving residents' safety and reducing crimes were two of his top priorities. This has been achieved noting in the 12 months to March 2015, the council said about 2700 "incidents" were captured on cameras it monitors. This included crimes, drunk people in the streets, people suffering mental health issues, car accidents and burst watermains. Additional Project Scope includes the following: Optical Solutions Australia’s open VMS solution also supports a wide range of third-party IP edge devices including the latest high-megapixel and high- definition models from Pelco, Samsung, DVTEL, Axis and Bosch. Teleste is capable of Command & Capture of third party systems whether that be CCTV, access control or others. In addition we are able to directly connect to other web enabled systems to provide an umbrella platform for a unified monitoring system. The system provides for full situational awareness by visualization of multi- system information in the same GUI and Video Wall. It allows for the ability to react to any situation with the full capability of any integrated system. The system was affordable and application independent. User-friendly technology with clear and homogenous user interfaces provide authorised officers access to live videos and recordings with indexed data and time-stamps. Duty reports and event management are supported with additional tools. The system is capable of secure remote access to live video using your iPad, iPhone, Blackberry, Android and Windows Mobile devices. In conjunction with Pride Security, Optical Solutions Australia supplied and installed a number of these new technologies including; IT Network Devices Structured Cabling System Engineering and Design Design Documentation, Test Documentation, Maintenance Documentation and User Documentation Client Training and As-Installed Drawings Pride Security provided for all necessary training and supplied installation manuals detailing full system description, as installed drawings, final equipment layouts and locations, all other drawings associated to the installation and all completed inspection test reports.
