Original BUFF S.A is a company based in Igualada, a small city located 60km from Barcelona. The headquarters and its facilities cover a total area of 8000m2. Our staff is made up of over 100 employees, although, more than employees, we are colleagues and it is this team spirit that motivates us to strive for per-fection. We also try to achieve that perfection by controlling the whole produc-tion, design, printing and marketing process of our products. This enables us to maintain and improve the quality of both products and services on a daily basis.

In 1992 Original BUFF S.A created the first multifunctional headwear product under the BUFF® brand. In 1995 the company expanded its operations in Eu-rope and currently 80% of the company’s revenue comes from exports to more than 60 countries. In 2006 Original Buff SA began to develop and market a line of multipurpose tubular garments designed specifically for the professional and industrial markets under the name BUFF® Professional.

a 60km de Barcelona. Su oficina central junto con la planta de producción ocupa

unas instalaciones de 8.000m2. Somos más de 100 trabajadores, aunque más

que trabajadores somos compañeros, y es este espíritu de equipo lo que nos lleva

a buscar la perfección. Es por eso que controlamos todo el proceso de producción,

diseño, estampación y comunicación de nuestros productos. Todo esto nos per-

mite mejorar, día a día, el nivel de calidad tanto de productos como de servicios.

En 1992 Original Buff S.A. creó el primer tubular multifuncional sin costuras bajo la

Dry Cool BUFF® is the seamless multifunctional tubular made with Coolmax® Extreme. Ideal to be used in warm/sunny climates or during the hottest mon-ths of the year.

Coolmax® Extreme is engineered with a special four channel fibre for sta-te-of-the-art moisture management properties which allows the fast absorp-tion and drying of body moisture while giving 95% protection from UV rays. Standard Dry-Cool BUFF® is available in the designs shown below and can incorporate two retro-reflective stripes of 3M Scotchlite™ for enhanced visi-bility in poor light conditions.

Products available with Insect Shield® treatment under request. It helps keep insects away during outdoor activities. This odorless and invisible technology lasts through 70 washes and protects from insects such as mosquitos, ticks, ants, flies, chiggers and midges. Thermolite® fabric is extremely light, can insulate and maintain body temperature even in wet conditions. Made with hollow-core ADVANSA fibres to trap air, the fabric is able to provide excellent thermal insula-tion. Thermolite dries 20% faster than cotton and it is comfortable and light.

Los tejidos Thermolite® son capaces de proveer calidez y comodidad con

el mínimo peso, incluso cuando están húmedos o mojados. Thermolite®

es el tejido ligero de peso que provee funcionalidad porque está hecho con

las fibras huecas de ADVANSA para atrapar el aire y obtener el mejor ais-

lamiento térmico. Además los usuarios están más secos porque los tejidos

Thermolite® se secan un 20% más rápido que el algodón. Thermolite®

es el tejido perfecto para los sistemas de protección por capas porqué es

Coolmax® is composed by a special four channel fibre structure that moves moisture from your skin to the outer part of the fabric. Moisture evaporation happens faster than in any other fabric helping to regulate your body temperature. BUFF® Professional products made with Coolmax® block 95% of Ultraviolet*(UV) radiation from the sun. Sunburn is a sign of overexpo-sure to UV light and can cause serious illnesses such as skin cancer or cataracts. BUFF® Professional headwear made of Coolmax® effec-tively protects from the sun by reducing exposure to harmful UV rays.

* Fabric samples have been tested for UV protection by AITEX and LEITAT – Textile Technology Institutes, in accordance with the AS/NZS4399 standard: 1996 “solar protection clothing – Evaluation and classification”, with results ranging between 93.3% (UPF>15) and 96.7% (UPF>30), with an average UV protection of 95% (UPF>20).

NOME X®

NOMEX® is a meta-aramid fibre invented and manufactured by DuPontTM. Nomex® has flame-retardant properties, is resistant to high temperatures and will not melt, drip, or combust in air. This high level of protection is engineered into the fibre’s molecular structure, it’s not chemical, which means the heat and flame resistance of NOMEX® is inherent and permanent and will last the life of the garment. As well as resisting extreme temperatures, thanks to its advanced thermo-te-chnology, garments made with NOMEX® offer optimum comfort and durability.

La fibra NOMEX® es una fibra meta aramida inventada y fabricada por

DuPont TM con propiedades retardantes a la llama, resistencia a las altas

temperaturas y que no se derrite y gotea o propicia la combustión en el aire.

Su alto nivel de protección está integrado en la estructura molecular de la

fibra, es decir, no proviene de un tratamiento químico. Esto significa que la

BUFF® Professional products in the Fire Resistant range have obtained the EC-Type Examination Certificate in accordance with the contents of directive 89/686/EEC and in accordance with the trial procedures that are applicable according to Standards EN 340:2003 (General Requirements), EN ISO 11612:2008 (Clothing to Protect against Heat and Flame (A1), convective heat (B1), radiating heat (C1)) and EN 1149-5:2008 Protective Clothing – Electrostatic Properties, as in Standard EN 1149-3:2004.

Los productos de la familia Fire Resistant BUFF® han obtenido la certifica-

ción de examen CE de tipo conforme a lo expresado en la directiva 89/686/

CEE y de acuerdo con los procedimientos de ensayo que les son aplicables

según las Normas EN 340:2003 Requisitos Generales, EN ISO 11612:2008

contra riesgos térmicos de inflamabilidad (A1), calor convectivo (B1) y calor

All BUFF® Professional products are authorised to use the Oeko-Tex label, as per Oeko-Tex Standard 100 and the test report issued by AITEX. According to these certifications the BUFF® Professional range complies with the criteria regarding human ecology, as per “Products in Direct Contact with Skin”. The certified items comply with the requirements of current European legislation, referring to the use of Azo colourants.
