ORIENTATION SCHEDULE

Fall 2017

It is important that you attend all orientation sessions. These sessions are designed to give you an important head start for your studies and your time at the BISC, and to set you up for success. The night

activities are designed to help you get acquainted with your peers and showcase what campus life will be like this year. These activities are optional.

➢ It is your responsibility to ensure that you turn up to the correct location at the allotted time.

If you are unsure of any event, please do not hesitate to ask at Castle or Bader Reception or a member of staff.

➢ We have divided the student body into several different groups at different times over the course of Orientation. Please take note of which group you are meant to be in and at what time.

o Thursday afternoon’s activities, you are grouped by arrival time to ensure you have time for all your activities.

o Friday Afternoon, the 4 groups are alphabetical by last name o Sunday Morning, the 3 groups are alphabetical by last name o Please check the group lists as outlined in this booklet and familiarise yourself with the schedule.

YOU MUST HAVE ALL YOUR ELECTRICAL DEVICES CHECKED BY MAINTENANCE BEFORE CONNECTING

THEM TO THE POWER SUPPLY! ➢ Maintenance Drop-In

Maintenance will be in the A2 lounge of Bader Hall to help with personal appliance related problems and to test compatibility. It is essential that you have all appliances checked before plugging them in. Scheduled times are noted based on your arrival group. Bring your voltage converters and plug adaptors to be checked as well.

PLEASE BRING YOUR APPLIANCE & COMPLETED ELECTRICAL COMPATIBILITY FORM WITH YOU TO THESE SESSIONS.

➢ Laptop Surgery IT reps are available in A2 to help with computer, Wi-Fi related issues and to arrange pick-up of leased laptops. Scheduled times are noted based on your arrival group.

08:00 – 19:50 London Orientation Tour Meet at Castle Reception Meet at 7:45 Your first ELO experience! The coaches will depart at 08:00 from Castle Reception, with an

approximate arrival time in London of 10:00. You will join a walking tour that will finish up around 13:00. From 13:00-17:00, you will have free time in London to explore and get your bearings before your next ELO! Please wear appropriate footwear for the walking tour, and as we will be outside most of the time dress accordingly for the weather.
