To meet the Urban Demand, India needs to build 350 to 400 Kilometers of metros and subways every year. Estimates indicate that about 25 Indian cities with a population in excess of 3 million need metros.

The success of Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has convinced policy makers and urban planners towards adaptation of similar projects across Indian cities. MRTS projects are under way in Lucknow, Kochi, Ahmedabad, Kanpur, Hyderabad, Nagpur, Noida and Navi Mumbai. In the next few years proposals for Metro Rail Transit System for Pune, Bhopal, Indore, Patna, Meerut, Guwahati, Chandigarh and Vijaywada are being considered.

Started in 1990, IREE is the largest convergence of global rail industry which provides an opportunity to enhance knowledge and showcase the technological advancement & development in railway and its related sectors.

Conceptualized & organised by the Confederation of Indian Industry (CII) in association with the Ministry of Railways, Government of India - it is the only dedicated rail trade show that offers an advantage of upgrading

skills, expertise and a golden chance to invest in varied promising areas in the rail industry.
