Who are we?We have a scientific background, in biochemistry and molecu-lar biology. After many years in research & development within biotech and food-technology, we decided to follow our interests for natural products and human health. It was a familiar relationship in Chile that lead us to the organic AP-4 rosehips and the organic rosehip plantation. On our trips to Chile we enjoy making use of our scientific background when looking for new opportunities. It has result-ed in launching the Coesam Maqui powder that was approved for the EU market as food supplement in 2014.We greatly emphasize that our work in Chile is sustainable.

organic AP-4 rosehips on a fair trade basis. The collaboration was initiated in 2012 as a development project supported by the Chilean state. In this project local Mapuche families were given one Ha of land and for growing AP-4 rosehips. They received AP-4 plants, an irrigation system and consultancy to start a production of their own AP-4 rosehips. More than 80 families are until now taking part of the project.

A unique climate for cultivation of rose hipsThe Andes mountains and the cold Humboldt current along Chile´s coast are two significant factors that make the south of Chile a unique place for rosehip cultivation. The Humboldt current and the Andes mountains contribute to a special summer climate with sunny days and cool nights. The low night temperature improves the preservation of the active substances in the AP-4 rosehip.
