Law on transplantation in Russia

Transplantation is possible only when other medical means cannot help.

A person under 18 or a disabled person cannot be a life-donor.

Organs and tissues cannot be sold and bought. Transplantation after death is possible only after

the council of physicians proofs a brain death of the patient.

If the person or his\her relatives refused from organ donation, transplantation is not possible.
