Purpose
❖ Be clear about the purpose of your presentation.
❖ A helpful tool is to answer the questions of "(a) Why am I sending this message? And (b) What do I hope to achieve?" (Guffey & Lowey, 2015, p. 130)
❖ A written purpose statement helps specify the intention of your presentation (Guffey & Lowey, 2015).

Know your audience......
❖ Prepare your presentation with the audience in mind
❖ It is essential that your audience is clear as to how your presentation applies to them
❖ Ensure your message could be understood by a broad range of audiences
