Ordinal numbers can be

either masculine, feminine,

singular or plural.

They agree with the noun

they are modifying in both

gender and number.

Example:alumno(a) means student

first male student = primer alumnofirst female student= primera alumna

*Note primero and tercero drop their final o before a masuline

noun to become primer and tercer.
