Brothers set off on their 10 hour journey to their great uncles old abandoned house to claim the deeds so they can sell off the house through inheritance. For this I will film the car driving down the road from the outside and the inside of the car.

They arrive at the house in the dead of night. For this scene I will tilt the camera from the bottom of the house to the top of the house to show the audience the front of the house.

Next I will film the brothers walking through the house and another of them walking into the living room. One brother discovers there is no power in the house by trying the light switch. The brothers begin to look through the living room in cupboards and in boxes for the deeds.

They begin to hear footsteps in the room above them. To film this I will tilt the camera upwards to the ceiling and use sound effects of footsteps.

The younger brother begins to reminisce their childhood when they used to be babysat by their great aunt. I will film the great aunt sat on the couch watching tele while the brother is sat by her playing with a toy. The aunt won’t seem interested in the boy and continues to call him names. The younger brother also remembers their uncle yelling at them. To film this I will get a close up shot of the uncle’s face shouting “DO NOT GO UPSTAIRS!” to ensure I capture his angry facial expression.

The lights in the house begin to flicker on and off; the brothers seem confused as they thought there was no power. To film this I will pan the camera across the room to show the lights flickering in the room. I will get a separate shot of the brother’s reactions until the lights go off completely.

The older brother finds candles and some matches so he decides to use them as a light source. To film this I will stand in a doorway myself as the spirit woman and the older brother will stand in front of the doorway. We will be in the pitch black dark and when the brother lights the match, the camera will capture me in the light standing behind him.

The brothers continue to look for the deeds until the younger realises that most people would keep files in an office, the older brother seems to think the office would be upstairs. To film this conversation I will use a shot reverse shot but also over the shoulder shot to capture the conversation and reactions from the brothers. It will show the younger brother refusing to go upstairs due to the fright he has had for many years about his uncle.

They decide to wait outside in the car until it gets light. To shoot this I will simply just get a shot of the car outside in the dark.

The older brother isn’t as affected as the younger brother so he decides to go back into the house to continue looking. It gets quite late so he decides to go to sleep on the couch. Obviously, things begin to happen to him while he’s in there. To film this I will get a shot of him getting comfy on the couch, another birds eye shot of his face as I pour a drop of fake blood onto his head. I will capture a reaction shot of him freaking out about what just happened. He yells quite loudly so the younger brother can hear.

The younger brother goes into the house to check if the older brother is okay. He can’t find him anywhere on the ground floor of the house so he knew straight away he would have gone up the stairs. To make this scene I will simply get a shot of the younger brother slowly walking up the stairs shouting his brothers name.

I will capture the older brother standing at the top of the stairs by tilting the camera from the bottom to the top if the stairs. I will also get the same shot of me standing in the same place as him so that when it comes to editing my film, I can make it look as though the brother Is glitching into the spirit woman, as though he is becoming possessed by what’s in the house.

The brother discovers a room up the stairs that contains nothing but a surgery table with various surgical tools on top and several jars of organs and severed limbs inside them. To shoot this I will capture the brother walking into the room, I will tilt the camera down the surgery table revealing the corpse and tools on top, and then I will pan across all the jars surrounding.

I will film a sort of flashback of the uncle laughing menacingly while he cuts the woman open with a knife. I will split this clip up into second long clips and merge them in-between the scenes of the surgery table and the jars.
