In one of our situations, a boy is talking with his mother about a farmhouse. He’s talking about what color it is and what material it’s made of.
Son: It’s a white wooden farmhouse about 20 miles away.
color + material + noun
When we are talking about something and we mention its color and the material it is made of, we fi rst mention the color and then the material.
Here are some other examples.

Yeah, she’s the girl
wearing the red cotton
blouse.
