    (.#" -e!ning pic" methodologies

0ic" methodologies refer to the diHerent ways that you might select to ful!lla group of orders. or e;ample you might select to pic" an order %y itself orto pic" multiple orders at the same time.Oracle WMS supports the following pic" methodologies,■ Orer pic/ing: The system assigns pic"s for one order at a time to a user. Thuswhen a user accepts a tas" for the !rst line on a sales order all otherpic"ing tas"s associated with that order are automatically assigned to theuser as well regardless of the tas" type or su%in#entory.■ ,luster pic/ing: The system dispatches tas"s line %y line regardless ofthe su%in#entories in which those tas"s are pic"ed from or to whom the lineon the order has %een dispatched to.

    ■ 0one pic/ing: The system assigns pic"s for a gi#en order in a gi#ensu%in#entory to a user. Thus if a user accepts a tas" for the !rst line on asales order all other lines on that order that are sourced from thatsu%in#entory are assigned to the user.■ ul/ pic/ing: The system groups tas"s to pic" the same items that aresourced from the same su%in#entory and locator so that the user only seesone tas" that might represent pic"s for se#eral orders.■ Paper!base pic/ing: =sers pic" according to a paper pic" slip that isprinted at pic" release. This ena%les a user to dispatch tas"s to themsel#eswhen wor"ing in a paper&assisted en#ironment.■ Pic/ an Pass pic/ing: +03s are generated %y the system during

cartoni$ation and the la%els are printed prior to pic"ing. Thus in order topic" the user scans the +03 and is dispatched the pic"ing tas" that isassociated with that +03. The user can then pass the +03 to the ne;t useror continue pic"ing all material for the +03 and will not %e prompted to dropthe +03 in the staging lane until all of the lines ha#e %een pic"ed
