Jdeveloper Setup for Fusion Application Customization

1. Install Python 2.7 from https://www.python.org/ftp/python/2.7.9/python-2.7.9.msi

3. Accept agreement

4. Choose Oracle Fusion Applications as product and appropriate platform version

5. Download Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle Fusion Applications Companion

6. Unzip V43741-01_1of3.zip, V43741-01_2of3.zip and V43741-01_3of3.zip into single folder

(this can be deleted after installations)

7. Unzip V43746-01.zip into separate folder (this should not be deleted after installations)

8. Run jdevstudio11117install.exe

9. Install JDeveloper using default settings

10. Add following environment variables to you OS setup:

HOME=\path\to\user_dir (Important: If this variable is not set, the FADevConfigure.py script,

that is called while creating an Oracle Fusion domain in JDeveloper, will fail. In Windows 7,

HOME typically is c:\users\userid, such as c:\users\herbie.)

MW_HOME=\path\to\JDeveloper\installation\directory (Important: The path must not contain

spaces. For example C:\Oracle\Middleware)

JAVA_HOME=%MW_HOME%\jdk160_24

PATH=%JAVA_HOME%\bin;%PATH%

JDEV_USER_HOME=C:\JDeveloper (Important: The path must not contain spaces.)

USER_MEM_ARGS=-Xms256m -Xmx512m -XX:MaxPermSize=512m -

XX:CompileThreshold=8000

(Optional) set FADEV_VERBOSE=true

11. Start JDeveloper using default role

12. Choose Help -> Check for updates

13. Go to second page of wizard and press Add button

14. In update centre source addition window choose fusion_apps_updatecenter.xml from

unzipped V43746-01 in location field and name this source as Oracle Fusion Applications

Update Center. After that pressing Ok and Next.

15. In step 3 choose Fusion Apps Development Environment and other needed values will be

set automatically. After that press Next.

Afterwards all needed packages will be installed

16. When installation finishes press finish button and allow JDeveloper restart action that is

requested.

17. When JDeveloper has re-opened copy o.jdevimpl.rescat2 (Request Weblogic Administrator

to retrieve this folder) folder to $JDEV_USER_HOME/system11.1.1.7.40.66.61.3

18. Choose Oracle Fusion Applications Administrator Customization as role

19. When asked to configure default domain choose yes and accept all default setting in

displayed wizard and wait till domain setup has been completed

20. Start Weblogic server by choosing Run-> Start Server Instance

When an Integrated Server instance has been launched, you will need to deploy

the oracle.apps.common.resource.ear shared library. You may need to get the location of the

file from an administrator and then use the WebLogic Server Console to deploy it as a shared

library using oracle.apps.common.resource as the name (HUS DEV location for this file is

/oracle/fatst/products/fusionapps/applications/com/deploy).

21. When a server has been started, navigate to http://localhost:7101/console using your favourite

web browser and login using weblogic/weblogic1 as user and password

22. Choose Deployments menu

23. Press Install button

24. In Path field choose oracle.apps.common.resource.ear and press Next button.

25. Install mentioned file as library and press Next button

26. Specify name as oracle.apps.common.resource and press Finish button

27. Stop Integrated JDeveloper as seen in picutre and start it again using same procedure as

before
