(i. ) Skill Training of Rural Youth(STRy):- The component aims at training rural youths. rural artisans

(blacksmiths, carpenter etc. designing! manufacturing farm implements) including farm women across the

cnwllry. The training under this component would be of7 days durati n for 15 trainees per batch and would

fuel! on pe ific ocational areas in agriculture & allied sectors. Both public and privatel Non­

lovemmental Institutions including Vocational Training organizations Youth Organizations (like Nehru

Yuva Kendra) will be actively involv d in implementation of this programm .

(x) Farmers Capacity Asses ment & Certification(FCAC):- It i aimed at providing recognition to

traditionally skilled farmer including farm women in various s ctOfS of agriculture & alii d disciplines

through certi lication.

The c ercise of certification c vers the process of "Recognizing of Prior Learning (RPL) Skill" by testing

and certification process by a designated agency. If farmersl farm women found Competent in possessing the

lrm.litional or prior pos e ed skill by the certifying bodi s, they are issued certificates, s that the farmers/

l~lIm women after obtaining the certificate may be recognized for getting employment in the concerned skill

sector by the pnrpective employers in the job market.

("\i) Diplom:1 in Agricultural E tension Services for Input Dealers (DAESl):- DAE 1 i of one year

(cxpam.lcd to 48 weeks) regular cour e launched in 2003 with an objective to rmpart education in agriculture

and other lIied areas to the Input Dealers so that they can establi h linkage to their busin 55 with exten ion
