• Contacts will select their preferences from the Optum Preference Center

• Contacts will enter email groups based on preference selections

• Update contact information

• Subscribe or Unsubscribe from preference options

• Click on a link to unsubscribe from all electronic communications

• Once the Preference Center form is submitted, the contact will:• Be redirected to a thank you landing page• Sent one of the following thank you

emails:– For contacts who have already opted-in to

receive electronic communications, these contacts will receive an email thanking them for updating their preference. These contacts will start receiving information as it is available.

– For contacts who have not already opted-in to receive electronic communications, these contacts will receive an email thanking them for updating their preference, along with a call to action to provide their consent.

• If a contact does not provide consent from the first email, they will receive two additional emails asking for this information. If the contact does not provide consent, they will not receive the electronic communications for the information they requested.

Subscription ManagementExperience – Opt-In

• To Opt-In to receive electronic communications from Optum, a contact must:• Submit the Preference Center form

– This will update their preference selections within Eloqua

• For contacts who have not already opted-in to receive electronic communications, these contacts will receive a series of emails (no more than three) requesting they provide consent. The emails received are based on the email laws and legislations in the contacts country.

• Once a contact provides consent, they will receive email content on the preferences he/she selected

• If a contact does not provide consent, he/she will not receive emails from Optum, even if they submitted the Preference Center form.

• To Globally Opt-Out of receiving electronic communications from Optum, a contact must:• Click on the Preference Center link in the

footer of an email• From the Preference Center, click on the

unsubscribe link near the bottom of the page

• The contact will be redirected to the global Opt-Out landing page.

– This provides an opportunity for the contact to provide additional information on why they are opting out, if they choose

– Once the form is submitted:• Opt-Out information is sent to Eloqua and the

contact is removed from receiving additional electronic communications

• Redirected to a thank you landing page

• Note: Contacts who globally unsubscribe will still receive transitional emails (form) and legally will still receive electronic communications on any breach of security.
