N. ASSIMAKOPOULOS S.A. is the largest import and manufacturing company, with over 50 years of experience in installations of natural light control systems. It im-ports, manufactures, distributes and installs top quality Shading Systems, and In-terior Decoration products, that meet the specialized demands of all customers. The company’s offices are located in privately owned facilities covering 5500 square meters in Elliniko, including production, storage and show-room spaces. Optima Venetian blinds are available with plain aluminium slats - 16 and 25mm wide, with perforated aluminium slats - 16 and 25mm wide, and with wooden slats - 25mm wide.

Classic OperationUpdown and rotation using two separate mecha-nisms

• The Classic mechanism consists of a rod and cord. The winds blinds are raised using a cord lock and the angle of the slats is adjusted with a titl rod.

• The prepainted metal headrail 25x24mm, for metal slats 16mm and 25mm, or wooden headrail dimension depending on the slats.

• The prepainted metal bottom rail 19.5x10mm, for slats 16mm and 25mm. Wooden bottom rail according to the wood slat.

• Aluminium slats are manufactured from special al-loys and are 16mm or 25mm wide, painted with (double baked acrylic) paint. 25mm wooden slats are available in two qualities, basswood and laminate.

• Plastic end cups semi-transparent and clear wand.

• Ladder string sand tapes are 1.4mm Nylon for slats 16mm and 25mm wide, with double crossed threading to hold slats in place.

One alternative to the Optima Classic is the Optima Unitech system.The Unitech mechanism does not use the classic cord lock for raised and tilt for it operates easily by simply pulling the rod. Other advantages are the improved appearance, as the cord passes through the hollow rod, and easily operates even at an angle of up to 90 degrees. This is useful for points which are difficult to access by hand. Available only with alumini-um louvres, 16mm and 25mm wide.

Horizontal Glaze and Glaze Lift shading systems

The Optima Venetian blind system with the Glaze Lift mech-anism is used to integrate blinds inside double glazing. The system consists of a cord for raising the louvres and a flex-ible cable for rotation. It is also available without the Glaze retraction lifting mechanism . Available with aluminium lou-vres only, 16 and 25mm wide. The advantages of the Optima Glaze and Glaze Lift is that the system is located between double glazing and as a result it is not affected by the air, soiled by dust or other factors and it also saves space.

• The slats are raised using the cord and the angle is ad-justed by rotating the cable rod.

The appropriate tools have been developed to meet all motorized operation requirements. • LINE M - The louvres are manufactured from extruded natu-ral aluminium. Their ends are sealed with two stainless steelcaps (ent). The two ends have a socket, forming a single unit with the interior profile. This type of louvres, with an eliptical shape, is provided in standard dimensions, with widths of 10, 15, 20, 25, 30, 40, 50 and 60cm. Louvres are available in a anodized finish or any RAL paint.

• The louvres can be rotated with a manually operated crank handle system or simply by a lever installed outside the window.

• A recommended method is rotation by a linear motion elec-trical system, using a switch operated single phase 220V power supply with terminal array. This operating system has the appropriate power capacity to operate louvres of more than 10 m long.

• Systems operating commands may also be incorporated into a BMS system.• The louvres are installed in special profile guides which

regulate louvre pitch and provide the housing for horizontal or vertical installation. They are manufactured from extruded aluminium in special cross-sections and various dimen-sions, according to requirements. The available profiles are 50x50mm and 60x60mm.

• The louvres are operated using an aluminium rod with a Π shaped cross-section (17x12mm).

• Stainless steel fittings (bolts, nuts, washers) are used for connection to the fins.

• The guide rails are mounted on special stabilizing brackets on walls or load-bearing structure of the building.

• LINE HT - The blinds consist of perforated slats, 50 or 32cm wide, with side folds to render them rigid. The perforated blade is screwed into a light-weight construction consisting of a central 42,5mm diameter extruded aluminium tube and a 10cm wheelbase.The rotation is made as a linear motion electrical system, us-ing a switch operated single phase 220V power supply with terminal array. This operating system has the appropriate power capacity to operate louvres of more than 10m long.The reduction gear unit is installed in the box at the bottom,

outside the space. Operating commands may also be incor-porated into a BMS system.

• The RAS-M roman blind mechanism consists of an alu-minium headrail with a 34x37mm and a chain which is used to raise and lower the fabric. The Roman blind mechanism is available in two chain/fabric rotation speeds. 1:1 for fabric weighing up to 3kg and 1:2 for fabric weighing up to 4.5kg.

• The fabric is raised using cords reeled around special plastic tape rolls located inside the headrail: motion being transmitted through the rotation axis.

• Special fiber glass rods are sewn inside the fabric, with a diameter of 5mm, which allows the fabric to fold into pleats as it is raised.

• The counter weight (bottom rail) is metal, flat, 30mm and 5mm thick, available in white, for insertion in the special pocket created in the bottom hem bar.

• The brackets are made of galvanized metal, 30x40mm, and can be used on walls or ceilings.

• The RAS-B roman blind mechanism consists of an alu-minium headrail 34x32mm, where the fabric is raised and lowered with the use of a battery motor. The mecha-nism consists of a latest technology 12V motor, wire or wireless motion control (RTS), also compatible with auto-mation systems. • The RAS-E roman mechanism consists of an aluminium headrail 51x58mm, where the fabric is moved with the use of a 220V motor. It is operated with a switch or a re-mote control. There is an option to remotely operate more systems (or a group) with one remote control. If an RTS motor is used, the minimum width that can be manufac-tured is 1m.

The system is available with manual operation.An innovatory feature of the system is that roman blinds can be made in roller blind fabrics, allowing the introduction of different systems (roller and roman) in the same space using the same fabric, giving the surrounding area a per-fectly integrated appearance.

• Roman blind system operated with a Roller chain mech-anism (5.0x6.5cm), with special slots for safe installa-tion on its brackets, made of white plastic, with integrated metal spring to hold the position and stop unwanted rota-tion of the roller without the use of the chain. The brack-ets are white metal, with the option to install on walls or ceilings.

• The mechanism is installed in an open cassete made of extruded aluminium profile, 6.0x4.0cm. The front fascia can be dressed with the blind system fabric and acts as a valance.

• The bottom rail, which is used as a counterweight to keep the fabric stretched, has a square cross-section made of anodized silver aluminium, with a special groove for insertion of the dowel rod.

• The bottom rail endcups are round, made of white or grey plastic, for decorative purposes.

• Plastic chain ball, or optionally metallic chain ball, main-ly for use in systems of large size (a height greater than 2 meters), as well as a choice between an endless chain with or a clip. If endless chain is chosen, there is the op-tion to use a chain counter weight.

• The fabric used is the same as for roller blinds.
