Chris Sperou & Warren Stewart Team Pitts keep wowing audiences with death defying aerobatics Over the last month or so we have been filming with Chris Sperou 13 times Australian Aerobatic Champion. Many of you will remember Chris and his amazing antics aloft over the past many years. I even remember him back at the Glenelg Birdman Rally performing in his Pitt Special. These days Chris, now in his 70s is still throwing his Pitt Super Stinker around like a child with his toy. The aircraft is an extension of the man. Turning one’s plane upside down (inverted) immediately after take off is not even a stunt for the young, but Chris does it without batting an eyelid. (see video link) Rehearsing nearly every week to keep in tune, Chris and Warren Stewart (duo act) put their planes through their paces, keeping old moves up to date and trying new manoeuvres. One must continually maintain fitness by rehearsing as the “G” forces can be enormous.

Chris and Warren still perform at may air shows, most recently the team were at the Barossa Air Show 2013 wowing the crowds.

Chris first does his solo display and then Warren joins in for the Duo act.

Our involvement with Chris has led to personal friendships developing and we now are looking at projects to promote aviation, aerobatics and the local Murray Bridge area. A video production is on the table and we will be working through the details over the next few months.
