Stettler Learning Centre Course Registration & Policies:Pre-registration and pre-payment is required for all courses and due 7 days prior to the course start date. Fees must be paid at time of registration. You are not registered in a course until payment is received. Course fees as published, al-though subsidy may be available. No GST charge. Cheques payable to: Stettler Adult Learning Council. If a course is cancelled by Stettler Learning Centre, a full refund will be issued within 30 days. To cancel your registration in a course you must notify Stettler Learning Centre at least 7 days prior to the course start date for a full refund. No refunds after this date.

Welding Tuesday, Nov 5th is a must-attend for all: covering general safety, the key theories and information to know before you start, including the different types of welders and their use.
The following weeks will cover a blend of theory and hands-on practice using MIG and stick welding, as well as other related tools and techniques. This course is great for those who want to learn to weld for home projects and use. Cost: $250.

MENTAL HEALTH FIRST AID SENIORSSupporting the mental health of Canada’s aging populationMental Health First Aid Seniors trains participants to effectively respond to an emerging mental health problem or crisis, until the situation is resolved or appropriate treatment is found.

Prism Program Heartland Youth Center (HYC) and Stettler Learning Centre are pleased to offer the Prism program to support the parents or guardians of children that take the Rainbows program in their school. The Rainbows program is a support program for children who are experiencing significant loss through divorce, separation, death, or major transition in their lives. The Prism curriculum is designed for single parents and step-parents to help work through their own grief, help their children through grief, and rebuild the family unit. Your child does not have to be currently enrolled in the Rainbows program. Any-one experiencing significant loss through divorce, separation, death or major transition in their lives, is welcome to attend the program.Childcare costs may be subsidized. Community MatchesFriendship based programs that provide positive role-modeling, support, and companionship to the children in our community.
In-School MentoringMatches adult volunteers on a one-to-one basis with school aged students; high school aged teen volunteers matched with elementary or middle school students.
RainbowsSupport group for children who have suffered a significant loss in their lives either by death or divorce, or any other challenging situation.
