Opportunities Week of April 10th, 2020 Reminder: INDUCER (Increasing Diversity in Undergraduate Cancer Biology Education and Research): The focal point of the program is a 10-week summer research program on the Stony Brook campus, where students experience living, learning, and working at a world class research institution followed by a two year fellowship. They attend lectures by faculty on their current research, participate in journal clubs led by graduate students, and visit both research core facilities and clinical laboratories. However, the key to the program is the demanding and intensive research experience. The program requires a full-time commitment 9am 5pm Monday through Friday for the full ten-week period. After which, the student will work for the next two years for a scheduled time agree upon by the research mentor (no less than 15 to 20 hours a week). Students will be paid $15 an hour for the 10 weeks.
