Prayers of Prosper Please pray fervently for wisdom and discernment for our current Council members. The Elders are: David Dick, Keith Dick, Dale Brinks, Jeremy Hamilton, Carl Dick, Gary Gandolfi. The Deacons are: Steve DeZeeuw, Terry Koetje,

Mark Buning, Gary Gladu, Nathan DeKam, Karl Marcusse. Thank you to the out-going members: Bruce DeKam, Allan Lucas, Dale Dick, Erik VanHouten. We’re excited to see where God will now use you for His Kingdom at Prosper! Pray for our College Student of the Week: Cody Rozeveld. Please continue to pray for Mary Lynn Schoo, Kim DeRuiter, Butch Schoo and Bob Jenema as the deal with ongoing illness. Remember our members who find it difficult to worship with us: June Boven, Betty DeKam, Jo DeRuiter, Carl Dick , Gen Dodde, Bernice Ebels, Eleanor Ebels and Millie Jenema. Pray for Sunday School, Catechism, Teen 22, JAM, Cadets, GEMS. Pray that our children will grow mightily in the Lord. We thank God for our young families and praise him for the gift of life. Pray for our expectant mothers: Audrey Lofton, SesiLee Cnossen and Valerie DeKam. Pray for the marriages in our congregation. Pray that they will be filled with grace and sanctified by the Holy Spirit. Know too, that there are resources avail-able to help any couple that might be struggling. Please be encouraged to speak with an Elder or Pastor Dirk for more information.

This morning, we will install new leadership to our Church Council. We will also begin a new series on 1 Thessalonians. Today from the first verse, “To the Church of the Thessalonians.”

Next Sunday, we will be blessed to witness the Public Profession of Faith of Sandra Pastula.

in my home. ~Millie Jenema ...is Cody Rozeveld Cody is a student at Mayo Graduate School of Biomedical Sciences and working towards a PhD in Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. This is what he has to say about his life right now: “School is going quite well and my transition from undergrad-uate to graduate school has gone very smoothly. I am now a first year graduate student at Mayo Graduate School of Bio-medical Sciences. Currently, I am taking several classes that

are going well and working through my rotations; trying out different labs before I choose one in which I will work for the next 5 years. Prayers for sustained motivation and focus are always helpful though. The biggest adjustment is actually marriage and moving to another state.
