Get Involved with our next Outdoor Event

FREE OUTDOOR EVENT

THE PEOPLE’S TOWER WORKSHOPSBe a part of the creation team for one of our most extraordinary outdoor events yet!

We are looking for people to join acclaimed French artist Olivier Grossetête and his team to create a giant castle in Newbury town centre. The structure will be built with cardboard boxes and we are looking for people to get involved with the creation process.

There are 8 drop in workshops being held at 101, the Corn Exchange’s Outdoor Art Creation Space and they are open to anyone aged 9 plus (under-16s must be accompanied by an adult). We suggest a minimum attendance of an hour and half, and you can attend as many workshops as you like.

It is completely free to take part, please book your space through our Box Office and we will be in touch soon with more details. If you have any questions then please contact [email protected]

Come and spend a morning together as a family and hear an original Easter story brought to life by our Education Officer Charlotte Cassey, using props, projection and music.

Join in with Easter-themed songs and rhymes in this fun, relaxed environment with light refreshments provided.

Make your own Easter Bonnet with artist Clara Flintoff. Perfect for budding artists (or even fashion designers!) you’ll use cardboard plates, bowls and cups to make a headpiece which you’ll decorate with tissue paper, stickers, wool and ribbon. Be prepared to get messy! Light refreshments will be provided.

Share your talent in our cosy auditorium at New Greenham Arts. All acoustic acts are welcome, so whether it’s spoken word, music, song, comedy or magic, this is your chance to shine! You can expect a friendly atmosphere and an enjoyable evening of entertainment, hosted by an enthusiastic compère. Performer slots are FREE, but must be booked through Box Office.

This is our resident crafting group who meet twice a month, led by textile artist Mandi Bainbridge. All are welcome; card-makers, knitters, stitchers, jewellery-makers scrapbookers…whatever your craft, bring along your project and meet like-minded people over a cup of tea and slice of home-made cake. You might even learn a new crafting skill from another member!

Arts and entertainment

for everyone

Our Relaxed Screenings and Performances are designed for audience members with a wide range of needs, for those on the autistic spectrum or anyone who feels they would benefit from a more relaxed theatre and cinema environment.

For Relaxed Screenings the film soundtrack volume is reduced and low lights are left on. It is fine for audience members to make noise or move around. Keep an eye out for these screenings marked on our website and film brochures.
