This is about what the OPMS looks like, and, very briefly, what you can do with it - check
out what follows here…
About ‘The One Page Management System’
(OPMS)
Contains ‘overlay’ animations: Please download and save to your hard disk, then

A number of ‘Missions’ are articulated at the next slide. Several of them – particularly the ‘individual
Missions’ and some of the ‘organizational Missions’ – have been successfully tackled using the OPMS!
(The societal Missions have not been tried).

information!”… HOW TO overcome BARRIERS, DIFFICULTIES, THREATS and WEAKNESSES (that may hinder or prevent
accomplishment of the Mission)? …
… HOW TO organize the THINGS TO DO to accomplish the Mission in the most effective way possible? ……showing all the lists of ALL ideas, in all
relevant Dimensions, that may be involved in
accomplishment of the specified Mission – along with all the models showing relationships
between the ideas…
… STRENGTHS……(for Individuals): HOW TO get hold of the good ideas from wherever they are available, and most effectively
integrate them into my working plans! …
“What are the THINGS TO DO to accomplish your Mission?”The heart of the matter of course lies in how to
construct those “HOW TO…” models! It takes a very little learning (and a little
‘unlearning’) to construct and use these models effectively…
… (for groups): HOW TO integrate ALL good ideas, from wherever they may arise, so that
the group can develop an effective Action Plan in true consensus!
All of those “HOW TO”s that develop in the OPMS above the ‘System Tie-Line’ enable you to develop all subsystems needed to
help ensure that all THINGS TO BE DONE do actually get done effectively!

To generate relevant ideas, we simply need to ask appropriate questions of the people who may have
ideas about the issue under consideration

The right people to ask are those actually involved in the issue in various ways – the real
stakeholders in the issue
To actually USE the ideas generated, here is what has to be done:

Fundamental Concepts
• Fundamental philosophy: A problem is best resolved by the people involved in it
• OPMS enables individuals and organization to benefit from ‘self-consulting’
• OPMS is a vehicle to explore and exploit the vast latent knowledge and intuitive power of people in the organization – uses Socratic method of ‘teaching ‘teaching by questioning’ rather than by ‘telling’by questioning’ rather than by ‘telling’
• OPMS helps createcreate wisdom from existing knowledge – integratesintegrates knowledge of people into consensus action planning

Processes to accomplish these tasks quite well known in Management Science - but they’re generally not very effective
because of the lack of the requirements sketched next:

Where participants cannot all come together at the same place at the same time, a workshop could be conducted over the Internet. Such ‘workshops’ -
with participants entering into discussion mode for, say, an hour at a time several times a week - will necessarily have to be spread out over several weeks (and they are not as effective as a live
workshop with face-to-face interaction)
A quick ‘live’ OPMS session on a real issue chosen by participants (but NOT a full-
scale workshop!) can be conducted during a 2-hour presentation
