Gre e t i n g s
It is my honor and appreciation to introduce this ophthalmology program directors' course organized by the international council of ophthalmology here in our beautiful city. To be here in front of these selected guests from different ophthalmology departments in the Arab world, lectured by an outstanding international faculty who are responsible and directors of the residency program in their colleges, is a privilege. As a matter of fact, continuous medical education especially for the young doctors including residents and fellows in ophthalmology departments is of a global interest. It is also considered as one of the milestones in medical education. The outcome of this promotion and interest in medical education will be of great influence for both the young doctors and patients. It will also include a better research overview and correct successful application. I hope through this condensed program that it will improve our view towards residency education program in different medical schools in the Arab world. Through your support and interaction with the different aspects of this program it will be reflected on the medical education and the medical welfare of our patients. Thank you all again and I hope to enjoy and benefit from this remarkable program.
Dr. Fathi El-Sahan Chairman of the Course, Cairo
