eyeConnect© is an integrated platform for Ophthalmic Asynchronous Telemedicine that is
easy to use for medical ancillary staff, nurses, GPs or specialists. It collects a standard package of eye information from a patient at any location and transmits it to a specialist at any site for assessment and/or screening. The specialist views the patient information in an easy to use browser and communicates patient instructions/advice back to the remote site.

eyeConnect© blazes a new trail in Ophthalmic Asynchronous Telemedicine and features:
n A complete assessment package including:
– Patient history
– Acuity test information
– Intra-ocular pressure assessment
– Slit light, diffuse light and fluorescein photographs
n Lightweight, portable and easy to set up (weighs 7 kilograms)
n The user interface is intuitive, users can operate the system without reference to a user manual
n Transmits the eye information from emergency departments, clinics, doctor’s surgeries, remote hospitals or screening centres to a specialist for assessment and/or screening

Public/Private hospitals
– where private ophthalmologists perform surgical and treatment
procedures and wish to streamline the patient
follow up process.
Screening Service– A standard assessment package provides ideal reference for screening.
Private ophthalmic clinicians– clinicians who perform surgery
in multiple locations can equip secondary sites with the system and it will allow
post-operative follow up to be conducted remotely by the specialist clinician.
General Practice clinics
– that are remote from more specialist ophthalmic services and want to provide
a more expedient patient outcome.
General hospital emergency
departments– connected to a specialist
ophthalmic hospital. Allows the emergency department clinicians to
collect patient eye information send it to a remote specialist centre and
receive instructions regarding the patient.
