What is GCCM? • An alternative delivery method for school construction

projects

Why use GCCM Approach? • For complex scheduling, phasing and coordination

• GCCM involvement during design is critical

• Project includes complex and technical work environment (portables, student occupied site, multiple schools on site, old Firgrove demolition)

• Experience on GCCM for future projects

How is GCCM Different? • Typical PSD approach is Design-Bid-Build• Design (architects)…Bid (award low bidder)…Build

(contractor)• Value Engineering Consultant not needed• Bid packages for sub-contractors• Timeline can be accelerated • Less change orders: could save money• Possible state match qualification
