Bitterness

Bitterness : a resentment strong enough to justify retaliation; "holding a grudge"; "settling a score”; a feeling of deep anger and ill-will

The Fruit of Bitterness

✴ Justify their bitterness.✴ Become overly critical.✴ Secretly celebrate misfortunes.       

✴ Write-off entire groups of people.  

✴ Struggle to see bitterness in the mirror.

WITH WHOM OR AT WHAT ARE YOU BITTER?

HOW DO YOU KILL THE ROOT OF BITTERNESS?

Get rid of all bitterness, rage and anger, brawling and slander, along with every form of malice. 32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Eph 4:31-32• KILL BITTERNESS WITH COMPASSION.

• Be kind and compassionate to one another… Ephesians 4:3

'You wicked servant,' he said, 'I canceled all that debt of yours because you begged me to. Shouldn't you have had mercy on your fellow servant just as I had on you?' In anger his master turned him over to the jailers to be tortured, until he should pay back all he owed. "This is how my heavenly Father will treat each of you unless you forgive your brother from your heart." Matthew 18:32-35

• Cancel their debt.

• Give up your claim to revenge and blame.

• KILL BITTERNESS WITH FORGIVENESS.
