Restorative yoga for the immune systemSunday, October 17 3-5.30 pm $45 OPEN TO ALL STUDENTSOur body's organ systems benefit from deep relax-ation. Restorative yoga improves blood pressure, cholesterol and serum glucose (sugar) levels.Restorative yoga benefits those suffering fromchronic illness, immune deficiency, and general-ized fatigue from stress or sport. Individuals chal-lenged with specific medical conditions or lifechanges (pregnancy, menopause) may benefit from a private session. In a culture where peopleoften overwork and under-sleep, where anxiety level is high, restorative yoga is the perfect anti-dote to stress. Everybodys health benefits greatly from the practice of deep relaxation and fromthe awareness and release of breath. In those seminars you will explore classical restorativeposes as well as learn about the physiology of the relaxation response.

Poses are sequenced to gently move the spineand to stimulate and soothe vital organs.

Restorative yoga uses props (blankets, bolsters, pillows) to create a completely supportive environment for deep relaxation.

Restorative yoga hasbeen developed by Sri

B.K.S Iyengar since theearly eighties. He

invented or innovatedmost yoga props usedby modern practition-ers. Teachers like Dr.

Mary Schatz and JudithLasater kept that tradi-tion alive and evolving
