Then you’ll have to attend an interview to determine if you’ll be offered the job.Be prepared for your interview by practising mock interviews and finding the perfect outfit to give you confidence and make the right impression.Do a little bit of research about the company and the job you’ve applied for, it’ll show in the interview. It’s perfectly normal to be nervous but to stay as calm as possible so that you can do yourself justice.Thank the interviewer for their time before you leave.Read our 5 Interview tips blog if you’d like a little more information. Follow upOnce you’ve submitted an application or you’ve had an interview, if you don’t hear back within a week or so – give them a call or email just to follow up. 10 Ways Competitions Enhance LearningEncouraging students to take part in competitions could have lots of benefits.Taking part in something that isn’t schoolwork might seem more appealing, and they get the autonomy to choose which competitions they’d like to enter. Students could be encouraged to extend themselves in fields and subjects that they’re interested in.There’s always the hook of winning, but that doesn’t have to be the focus, and it’s certainly not the only benefit. As the old saying goes “it’s the taking part that counts”.We’ve found a great resource that talks about 10 of the top benefits. If you’d like to encourage your students to participate in more competitions that could help them to boost their skills and their resumes – we’ve created a brand new competitions page to our website. New competitions are added each week.
