Congratulations on gaining a place at ManchesterMetropolitan University. Whichever MMU campusyou have chosen, you’ll be joining a lively studentcommunity with a close, friendly atmosphere. There’llbe lots to prepare for your course and if you aremoving away from home you’ll also need to planfor living in Manchester or Cheshire.
If you are coming to MMU straight from school orcollege you may find that at university you will needto take more resposibility for finding out what youhave to do whilst you’re here and for asking forsupport if you need it!
This Welcome Guide should help you to find your wayaround during the first week or two and make it easyto access all of the services and facilities you need.We asked students what sort of information theywould like to have quick and easy access to duringtheir first week at MMU – the Guide is based onwhat they told us.
We’d love to know whether you found it useful or not,and as an incentive to tell us, if you complete ouron-line evaluation survey, we’ll send you an MMU pendrive in return!
This is the first MMU Welcome booklet we haveproduced and we would welcome your commentson the content. To complete the on-line survey go to
