OOSIGHT IMAGING SYSTEMS
Adding Oosight to your lab can improve success by
offering you a quantitative and reproducible method
to measure biological disruption in either fresh or
previously frozen oocytes. You can now select against
oocytes for ICSI and embryos for implantation, and use
the system to dramatically improve enucleation efficiency.
Understanding the oocyte is critical to understanding
the foundation of embryogenesis. Studies show that a
disrupted spindle apparatus or a weakened zona pellucida
in the oocyte have yielded lower pregnancy rates. In fact,
pregnancy is 8-times more likely when the inner zona
pellucida is well-ordered. 1

in the oocyte to improve egg grading and enable new discoveries.

Oosight outperforms other systems.
No other contrast-enhancement technique delivers the performance of Oosight. With its unprecedented resolution and calibrated setup, Oosight provides the reproducibility and sensitivity required of a grading routine, as well as the speed needed for micromanipulation.
Improve the efficiency of oocyte cryopreservation.
Whenever a clinical application is
known to negatively alter the state
of the biological material being
used, it is imperative that checks and
balances are in place to monitor the
extent of that change. Oosight can
help do this for all cryopreserved
oocytes by providing a method that
helps ensure that vital structures
in the oocyte are reformed to their
original, pre-frozen state.

Oocyte screening can make all the difference.
Oosight enables you to determine
which subpopulation of oocytes
are at high risk for producing
chromosomally abnormal
embryos. One in approximately
20 cycles contains oocytes that
are immature but are nevertheless
falsely labeled MII using
conventional imaging techniques.
Oosight can prevent the
potentially damaging effects that
result from injecting immature
oocytes. The system can also help
screen for oocytes with highly
disrupted spindles, such as those
that are multipolar.
It’s an easy add-on.
The Oosight system integrates
seamlessly onto your ICSI
workstation. Now with foot-pedal
controls and automated spindle
and zona tools, measuring each
oocyte is a simple 2-step process.
Snap an image and then press
a button to report the data.
Meaningful retardance and
orientation data are organized into
an intuitive, exportable report. It’s
really that simple.

“Because spindle screening can improve efficiency of gamete selection, it should be considered when choosing eggs for freezing or fertilization by ICSI.” Dr. N Noyes, NYU IVF Program
On the left, human MII oocyte has a normal barrel-shaped spindle (azimuth skew from barrel shape is 5.12) . On the right, this human MII oocyte has an abnormal tri-polar spindle (azimuth skew from barrel shape is 49.4). Inner zona and spindle retardances are not shown, but these data are provided by the Oosight system as well.

*The Spindle And Zona Finder are tools in the Oosight software used to automatically find and report on spindle and zona metrics, including mean retardance and orientation offset. NOTE: The Oosight system is compatible with most research-grade microscopes and laser systems. Glass bottom dishes are required.
