Experience the Joy of Giving Vishay Employees continue to shine when it comes to giving to others and donating for the good of Yankton and its surrounding communities. Beginning in late October, Vishay employees began to organize fund- raising activities for charity organizations such as United Way, The Contact Center, Toys for Kids Adoption Program and Hats and Mittens for Toddlers, etc. The goal was to surpass funds raised in past years as well as emphasize the importance of these programs to its various recipients. Some of the fund raising activities included Soup Kitchens, craft and bake Sales, Silent Auctions, Bingo. This year, these activities and employee and company pledges raised over $17,000.00 for United Way. Employees also raised nearly $1500.00 for the Toys for Kids Adoption Program. In addition they also have donated numerous hats, coats and mittens for the “Hats and Mittens for Toddlers Program” and donated turkeys to the Contact Center to support other families with a holiday meal.
