The Cradle of Liberty Council utilizes Doubleknot, an outside company, for all of our event, activity, weekend camping and summer camp reservations/bookings. Our websites www.colbsa.org, www.ResicaFalls.org and www.MusserSR.org will all take you to Doubleknot when you make any reservation.

This guide will walk you through how to use Doubleknot for each scenario.

Please note, the way we create events will determine if a registration can be amended —typically those that can be changed are for summer camp. Support staff at the council resource center can amend all registrations. Please note that registrations for ALL events etc. will close a few days prior to the event date to allow for adequate staffing, any food or program supply orders, etc. Support staff can register Scouts after the cut off date provided there is capacity.

FOR ALL RESERVATIONS AND REGISTRATIONS Log into Doubleknot (our online registration system) through the council website by going to www.colbsa.org and click on “Camping” (blue band towards the top of the screen). Click on “Sign in to Doubleknot”. Type in your user ID and password. If you do not have a sign in, you will create one as you register for the event.

TO MAKE A RESERVATION TO ATTEND BOY SCOUT SUMMER CAMP AT RESICA FALLS

1. Go to www.colbsa.org or www.ResicaFalls.org. 2. Click on Camping/Boy Scout Resident Camping. 3. Click on Register for the 2015 Camping Season. 4. Select the week you wish to attend, click register. 5. Important dates and prices, and the refund policy are displayed. 6. Click Register. 7. Log on with your existing Doubleknot ID or create a new user if you are new to using our online registration

system. 8. Enter your user ID and password. 9. If you are a new user you will need to enter your troop information in this format: Troop ##, Council Name.

Then enter the information needed for the summer camp organizer or troop leader. If you are a Cradle of Liberty unit please ensure you select your correct district. If you are a unit from another council please select “out of council” for the district.

10.Tell us approximately how many Scouts and adults will be attending camp. 11.Continue through the registration screens. You do not need to name individuals until you start to collect deposits. 12.You must check out and save your reservation. You have two payment options—pay with a credit card or mail a

check. 13.If you do not receive an email confirmation your reservation did not go through.

ONLINE MERIT BADGE AND PROGRAM SIGN-UPS

Complete steps 1-5 on the following pages to sign up for merit badge classes and other programs.

STEP 1: Sign in to Doubleknot IMPORTANT: System will time-out if you have your registration open for a while, we advise saving your work periodically to avoid lost work!

STEP 2: Once you are logged in, click on the “Registrations” tab. (Depending on your profile you need to first click on “My Account”)

Find your 2014 Summer Camp Registration and click “Update/Edit” to add merit badge selections and programs.

STEP 3: Each Scout attending summer camp needs to be added to your registration before you begin signing them up for merit badges and programs. If you have already done this please skip to STEP 4. To enter names of the Scouts, select button #2, “Name individuals.”

If your unit attended summer camp in 2014 the names of those participants will be listed to the left of the screen, and you will just add them to your list of 2015 participants. To add an individual not listed select “Add New Participant.” Enter their name, telephone number and email address, select their registrant type, and click “add.” Do this for every Scout and adult. Once you have all the names entered, click “continue” at the bottom of the screen.

STEP 4a: Select button #3—“Enter your Scouts’ Merit Badge and Program Selection.”

Follow each step of this section:

First, select the participant (name highlights in blue once selected).

Then select a category (item highlights in blue once selected).

Then choose the activities by clicking on the green plus sign. (Note the activity options will not appear until the program area has been selected (e.g. Civics Center category will have all of the merit badges and program that take place in the Civics Center.)

Scroll down to see the individual’s schedule as classes are added.

When you are finished with the first participant, select the next participant and repeat the steps until you have signed everyone up for their merit badges and program selections. Then click “continue” at the bottom of the screen.

IMPORTANT: We recommend you save your work frequently to avoid time outs and lost work.

STEP 4b: If you need to remove (or change) an activity, select the participant and scroll down to step 4 of this section and click on the trash can icon.

CLICK “SAVE”! NOTE: IT DEFAULTS TO THE OFFLINE/MAIL CHECK PAYMENT OPTION.

YOU WILL KNOW YOUR WORK IS SAVED WHEN YOU GET A RECEIPT ON THE SCREEN AND IN YOUR EMAIL.

TO MAKE A RESERVATION TO ATTEND CUB ADVENTURES AT

MUSSER SCOUT RESERVATION

1. Go to www.colbsa.org or www.MusserSR.org. 2. Click on Camping/Cub Scout Summer Camp/Cub Adventures at Musser Scout Reservation. 3. One person from the pack should make the reservation for the whole pack. 4. Select the session(s) you wish to attend—you can choose from full weeks (7 days, 6 nights), half weeks (4 days,

3 nights) or 5 Day (Mon—Fri only). 5. Click on the session to register. 6. Log on with your existing Doubleknot ID or create a new user if you are new to using our online registration

system. 7. Enter your user ID and password. 8. If you are a new user you will need to enter your Pack information in this format: Pack ##, Council Name. Then

enter the information needed for the summer camp organizer or pack leader. If you are an Cradle of Liberty Unit, please ensure you select your correct district; if you are a unit from another council, please select “out of council” for the district.

9. Tell us approximately how many Scouts and adults will be attending camp. 10.On February 1st you will be able to name all of the individuals attending Cub Adventures. You will need their

name, a contact phone number and email for a parent, the rank/grade they will be in Sept 2015, and their t-shirt size. See pages 20—25 for screenshots on how to complete your registration for camp. THIS INFORMATION MUST BE ENTERED AND PAYMENT MADE BY 5/15/2015 IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE EARLY BIRD PAYMENT RATE.

11.You must check out and save your reservation. You have two payment options—pay with a credit card or mail a check.

Ideally, one person from the pack should make the reservation for the whole pack, however, individual registrations are welcome.

1. Go to www.colbsa.org 2. Click on Camping/Cub Scout Summer Camp/Cub Scout Day Camp

3. Select the session(s) you wish to attend—you can choose from locations around the council 4. Click on the session to register 5. Log on with your existing Doubleknot ID or create a new user if you are new to using our online registration

system

6. Enter your user ID and password

7. If you are a new user you will need to enter your Pack information in this format: Pack ##, Council Name. Then enter the information needed for the summer camp organizer or Pack leader, or a parent if completing an individual or family registration. If you are an Cradle of Liberty Unit, please ensure you select your correct district; if you are a unit from another council, please select “out of council” for the district.

8. Using the same reservation add all of the participants attending from the Pack—including any adults, den chiefs and non Cub Scout children aged 3 and older. You will need their name, a contact phone number and email for a parent, the rank/grade they will be in Sept 2015, and their t-shirt size. CABIN AND CAMPSITE RENTALS

Cradle of Liberty Council, BSA owns and operates four camping facilities that can be used by packs, troops, teams and crews for weekend camping from September to May/June each year depending on availability.

Checking availability and making a reservation

1. Click on the “Book Now” Green Button for either Resica Falls Scout Reservation or Musser Scout Reservation.

2. Select a category: choose if you want a lodge or a tent site and then click on the facility you are interested in. It will highlight the facility and then you can check what openings exist for your weekend of choice. Availability is confirmed if the date blocks show in grey.

3. Select your arrival and departure dates by clicking on the appropriate dates, it will then give you a “reserve’ button to click. This will create a reservation box at the top right of the calendar with an orange check out box. Click there and follow the steps to complete your registration.

4. Use your current Doubleknot user ID and password. If do not have one, you will need to create a profile—use your “Unit #, Council”, and your contact information.

5. Follow the steps to check out and select the appropriate payment type—pay online with a credit card or mail in a payment.

Please note Camp Facility Cancellation Policy Below

If camp is open and a unit elects not to attend (or not to use a facility if multiple ones are booked) within 30 days of their scheduled arrival date, no refund/credit/rescheduling will be

permitted.

enter the information needed for the unit leader, or the adult if completing an individual or family registration. If you are an Cradle of Liberty Unit, please ensure you select your correct district, if you are a unit from another council, please select “out of council” for the district.

8. Using the same reservation add all of the participants/non-participants attending—including any adults. You will need their name, a contact phone number and email for a parent, and depending on the type of event, a date of birth may be required. See page 23—25 for a screenshot on how to complete your registration. YOU MUST BE REGISTER AND PAY BY 5/15/2015 IN ORDER TO RECEIVE THE EARLY BIRD PAYMENT RATE.
