When To Use Collaborate
• Well suited to classroom/lecture environment
• Anyone can access a session
• Internet connection, web browser and Java required
• iPhone and iPad app available (users receive audio + video, but can send only audio + chat)
Microsoft Lync
• Formerly known as Communicator or Instant Messenger
• Expanded functionality allows you to conference, collaborate and more
• Integrated with Microsoft Office including calendar, tools, contacts and more
When & How to Use Lync
• Full client required for full participation (usually only NDUS). Download it to your PC and run Lync from your PC for full functionality to work
• Best suited for quick conversations and internal meetings
• Apps available (for instant messaging only) for iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows Phone
