The way in which humans in Tibet have to adapt to theirenvironment.
FoodTibetan food is very unique as it is a mixture ofIndian and central Chinese cuisine using onlyingredients available at the altitude. The mainstaples of Tibetan cuisine are Shou (Dumplingswith vegetables and mutton) mutton, barleyand vegetables.
BuildingsTibetan buildings are normally very large andmade out of stone. They are made of stonebecause in the mountains of Tibet stone isabundant. They often have stone walls to retainheat because it is very cold up in Tibet.
ClothesTibetan clothes are normally both colorful andutilitarian. Tibetan clothes normally are color fullwith a dimond like pattern. They are alsonormally large and fur lined because it is verycold up in Tibet
ReligionTibets main religion is Buddhism with someNepalese elements. This is because Tibet islocated very close to India, the birthplace ofBuddhism . It is also close to Nepal, which alsoinfluenced its religion.

Don’t just hear about it, go see it.

The Five Things to Keep in Mind
1. Expect muddy and rugged roads. If
you are traveling away from
urbanization, chose strong, high
suspension 4x4 vichles
2. There is no connection
in most parts of Yunnan.
Incase of emergency
bring a satellite phone.
3. There are many
different minorities in
Yunnan, each speaking a
different language.
Consider organizing a
guide or an english
speaking native.
The weather can
fluctuate quickly, going
from wet, to cold, to
hot. Bring a mix of
clothing to best
combat the weather.
Have fun, enjoy visiting
the beautiful region that is
Yunnan
