Online Claim Submission Now Available for All Members Including Dental Claim Submission

All CareFirst members can now submit medical, dental and behavioral (mental) health claims quickly and securely through My Account using their computer or mobile device.*

This is a new convenience for small/medium group and Consumer Direct members. Large group members have been able to submit their medical and behavioral health claims online to date. However, with this expansion, all members (CD, small/medium and large) can now submit dental claims online.

Online claim submission provides the following benefits to members:

• Faster processing and payment of claims

• No delayed or rejected claims because of illegible handwriting

• Immediate notice when CareFirst receives a claim

• Time and money saved—no need to write, staple, stamp and mail

• Plus, members can take a photo and attach receipts from their smartphone or tablet

To submit a claim online, members can log in to My Account, select the Claims tab, and then choose Submit a Claim Online.**
