Make sure you are somewhere quiet where you will be uninterrupted
before you start your assessment
Check the time available for the assessment and set your alarm so
you know when time is up. If possible set 2 alarms, one for 10
minutes before the end to give you a warning
No access to student notes, mobiles, books, internet etc. during the
assessment
Once you start an assessment you cannot pause the clock and
have only the stated time available
If you go over the time available your full assessment will be
excluded and you will need to complete it during the resit session
Online CKP Assessments

If you have fully explained a mnemonic or model once then in future
answers within the same assessment you can just state the model/
mnemonic without further explanation
Short answers or bullet points are fine as long as you give the
information required
Some questions and answers may seem repetitive. Please answer
each question fully as they are designed to test the breadth of your
understanding
Dont overthink the questions. Sometimes there is no perfect
answer as it is about your thought process and your reasons for
taking that action. There are no trick questions!

If the question asks for:
4 options? Marks will only be given for 4 correct options
Offences or Guidelines (plural) Give more than 1 answer
Describing something specific, i.e. the PEACE Model Dont just
write the PEACE model is used for interviews you need to
explain/outline each element individually
If the question has multiple parts clearly label your answers as A), B)
etc.
Read the question fully !

Mnemonics and Acronyms
Understand which mnemonic apply to which scenario i.e. SARA does
not apply to Stop & Search (it is problem solving)
If you provide a FULL explanation of a mnemonic to answer a question,
i.e. GO WISELY, then in subsequent answers IN THE SAME
ASSESSMENT it is acceptable to state GO WISELEY as opposed to
explaining it all again
Acts - Know your Acts (with dates) and Sections, i.e. Section 163 of the
Road Traffic Act 1988. If you dont state the full details or give the wrong
section, year etc. then your answer will be marked as incorrect
