Tony has over 25 years of experience as a teacher, teacher-trainer, academic manager and course writer with leading language teaching organizations in Portugal, France and the UK.

Monica is a head business English trainer. Monica helps business professionals around the world improve their English speaking skills in presentations, negotiations, telephoning, meetings, and conferences.

Monica is a qualified teacher of American English with 18 years of experience teaching both children and adults at all levels.

Monica has taught at schools, colleges, and leading companies in the USA, UK, UAE, Germany, and France.

Anton Pereiaslavtsev Co-Founder, CEO

Anton was born in Tula, Russia. In less than three years living in the United States Anton became fluent in English. His learning experience convinced him that the most effective way to learn English was through real-life, human interactions.

Prior to co-founding HumanEnglish with Tony Winn in 2009, Anton managed all aspects of the Information Technology department for a Beverly Hills-based investment management company.

Anton earned a degree in Business Information Systems from California State University, Northridge. He studied International Business at Kingston University, London. He now lives in Venice, California. In his free time Anton enjoys traveling the world, surfing, cycling, skiing and listening to world music.


Alexey Bizikin Technology Manager

Alexey was born in Tula, Russia. He graduated Tula State University with a degree in Information Technology.

Although Alexey studied English in school and in the university, but still found it very difficult to communicate in English. After starting his work at HumanEnglish, he signed up for the company’s English courses. Just two months later, he got the necessary skills and practice to comfortably communicate with the company’s English-speaking staff.

Having experienced the effectiveness of the company’s courses first hand, Alexey is now developing technical solutions to help HumanEnglish’s learners achieve their full potential.

Introductory Session

Notes on tasks and role-plays

Of the two types of productive activities you do, tasks are more important. Tasks are a way for you practice with less support and therefore give a more

realistic picture of what you can do and, more importantly for us, where you will need further help.

In both cases you will be given preparation time. You can refer to lesson, or other material

Role-plays have been designed for you to practice specific language items and are more controlled in general.

In both cases you will use Skype to simulate interactions and these will be recorded. At the beginning of the following lesson your trainer will give you specific feedback on how you did and you may be required to try again at a later date.

In feedback you will be asked to identify language problems and your trainer will give you advice and direction to help deal with these problems. Your trainer will listen carefully to your performance on tasks and role-plays.

To enhance your performance it is recommended that you study the language bank provided with this course before sessions. This is keyed to each session.
